About Tribes hill fire department
Our History
Tribes Hill Volunteer Fire Department was founded 1914. The first building was rented and just east of where the current fire department is located. In 1925 station 2 was in operation just at the east end of Tribes Hill. Time passed with many fires and the current station was built in1942 and both stations were condensed into the current building. The same station went under construction for expansion to house 2 more larger engines in the 1960's and again in the 1990's. Currently THFD has 4 apparatus, 2 engines, 1 tanker and 1 rescue.
Our Services
Our all-volunteer department stands ready 24 hours, 7 days a week to provide a wide range of services to the community, including fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, and more. Our trained volunteer professionals are always ready to serve the community.
